CONCESSION STAND (PAID) EMPLOYEE JOB DESCRIPTION


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Handle face-to-face customer transactions.
  • Prepare cold and hot items.
  • Clean dishes and rotate stock.
  • Practice effective communication skills while serving quality products.
  • Utilize communication skills to attract customers and enhance their overall experience.
  • Provide customers with efficient and friendly checkout services to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to provide excellent guest service while working in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Serve food and beverages to customers in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Proper cash handling, greeting, and serving guests at the registers, taking orders, accepting payments, handling cash, debit, and credit cards.
  • Replenish food from the storage area when needed.
  • Prepare food such as popcorn, hot dogs, ice cream dishes, and fountain sodas, using standard formulas or following directions.
  • Prepare bills for food, using cash registers, calculators, or adding machines; and accept payment and make change.
  • Scrub and polish counters, steam tables, and other equipment, and clean dishes and fountain equipment.
  • Ensure all sanitation procedures are followed relating to all local licensing regulations.
  • Other duties associated with the job.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be at least 14 years old.
  • Must utilize excellent customer service.
  • Must be able to multi-task and be self-motivated.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with customers.
  • Possess excellent cash handling skills.
  • Present a neat appearance.
  • Must be very reliable and punctual.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Standing, stooping, and bending for long periods of time.
SCHEDULE
  • We are super flexible with the schedule with a schedule determined at least one week in advance. 
  • The typical work schedule is typically from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm M-F.  You pick the days and times you can work.
  • We may have tournaments and other weekend opportunities that will need to be filled.  We prefer hiring those that can work an occasional weekend but it is not required.
PAY
  • The starting pay is $9.00 per hour with a .50 cent raise each year if you return from the previous year.
  • Tips are split up between all workers for the evening.
  • Higher salaries are possible for those with extensive experience.
  • We now do Direct Deposit.  You will need a checking account from which we can deposit the payment.  This is not absolutely required but highly preferred.
  • Employees will be paid each week on Friday for the previous work week and we do submit taxes for Concession Workers.
  • Each employee will be responsible for clocking in and out the hours worked each day.

INTERVIEW/ONBOARDING (STEP 1)

On your first day, we will do the interview/onboarding with you and a parent/guardian (if you are under 18 years old.  The Onboarding will include:

  • Instruction on the three main jobs and their responsibilities
  • Your expectations in regards to punctuality and communication.
  • Your behavioral expectations.
  • How to clock in and out.
  • How the shifts work.
  • How to sign up for shifts.
  • Paperwork for processing your payment and taxes.
  • Answer any questions you may have.

ONBOARDING (STEP 2)

Once you are admitted into the system, you will have access with the ability to schedule when you want to start work.  We ask the following for all new hires:

  • Only schedule one day of your first week of employment.
  • Show up 30 minutes early to do prep training.
  • Once the shift begins, you will shadow a worker to learn the part of the job that she/he is doing.  It is not expected that you know everything at first.  We will start you out slowly and let you do only the work that you feel comfortable doing but we do hope that you learn all three jobs.
  • Then, once you feel comfortable working alone, we will let you go but we are always available for questions and/or concerns.
